Introduction

This document covers how to e-prescribe and track prescription medications with The Pharmacy Hub, your medication pharmacy and distributor. It is intended for clinics and providers that order medications for patients. If you're viewing a printout, the latest version of this document is kept at https://www.dispensepro.com/dis/docs/pharmacyhub.html.

On Boarding

Our goal is to onboard organizations in less than 24 hours. If you are a clinic with one or more providers, then please fill out our onboarding form. If you are an organization with multiple locations, a telehealth organization or a sales group, then please email us at support@thepharmacyhub.com for assistance with advanced configurations.

E-Prescribing with your EMR

The preferred method of getting prescriptions to The Pharmacy Hub is by e-Prescribing with your EMR. This is the best choice, since there will be a record of prescriptions in your EMR while the Pharmacy Hub receives the prescriptions electronically, saving time and reducing errors. If you cannot use your EMR, we can provide the DispensePro RxPad (see DispensePro RxPad section) which is an online prescribing portal that can be used for sending e-Prescriptions to the Pharmacy Hub. There is no cost for sending e-Prescriptions to the Pharmacy Hub through the DispensePro RxPad. The most common issues with EMRs are inability to efficiently e-Prescribe compounds and difficult user interfaces.

Since we don't know which EMR you are using, we will provide general information about e-Prescribing here. There's also more detailed information on e-Prescribing Semaglutide, syringes and alcohol pads since there's a lot of interest in those at this time. The actual process of e-Prescribing will vary depending on your EMR.
